Choosing the right repellent for your outdoor needs

Confused on the type of repellents that you need to get for your outdoor needs? Thinking of cost and reliability? Is it harmful to my skin and health? Can the repellent effect last for many days?

These are some of the questions that customers have in mind when they are deciding to purchase their repellent. Out in the market, there are so many brands for you to choose from which at times, some customers would just simply pick one that they have been using it for years, not wanting to try out other brands or perhaps unsure that what they have been using is unsafe and not user friendly at all.

Before you have decided on what you want to purchase for your outdoor expedition, here are some tips for you to consider:

1. The country that I am travelling for my expedition
2. The climate of the country that I am travelling to, is it hot, cold, rainy etc.
3. Number of days
4. Do I have any allergies?
5. Have I been using the same product too often? Why not try other products instead?
6. Check the content of the repellent and see what is the chemical used. Do note that DEET is a very famous chemical used as a repellent to block off the receptors of insects such as mosquitoes because mosquitoes are attracted to our perspiration. However, DEET is also harmful to the skin too and at times, it causes a hot burning sensation.
7. The type of insects likely to face in that country.

These are some of the major tips of purchasing your appropriate type of repellent. Most updates will be posted online on this blog. Stay tune!
